Prishtina, 24 January 2023

For the purpose of saving electricity and to support coping with the energy crisis, the Ministry of Economy during 2023 plans to continue with support measures in implementation of Decision No. 29/112 dated 13.12.2022, for the Action Plan on mitigating immediate socio-economic impact of the energy crisis, in the amount of 75,000,000.00 euros (seventy-five million euros) in order to implement the pre-condition to benefit from the financial means from the EU for the annual program IPA 2023.

The Action Plan foresees the implementation of measures with immediate and short-term effects, through direct financial support for families in need and with social disadvantage for the winter period, promotion of energy saving by residential consumers, support of families through increasing energy efficiency in residential units and buildings as well as investments in efficient equipment and renewable energy systems for households and Micro, Small and Medium enterprises.

The Ministry of Economy and the Kosovo Energy Efficiency Fund, as the holders of the relevant measures, are in the process of establishing working groups for the implementation of measures 3, 4 and 5 of the Action Plan, namely: Designing the support scheme for micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs), Designing the support scheme for household consumers, including consumers in need by investing in efficient household appliances and renewable energy systems, and Supporting household individual consumers, including consumers in need through increasing energy efficiency in housing units and (collective) buildings.

Through this Public Call, the Ministry of Economy and Kosovo Fund for Energy Efficiency jointly, aiming to involve the civil society into this process, invites all representatives of NGOs to submit request for participation in the meetings of the working groups for the purpose of providing their recommendations and support within the process.

All NGOs whose work program is focused in the fields presented under this Call are invited to submit a request for participation in the Working Groups until 31 January 2023, by sending an e-mail to: hanife.zenuni@rks-gov.net and arbnora.bahtijari@fkee-rks.net

It should be taken into account that based on the principle who applies the first shall be invited first, because up to two (2) NGOs for designing of a measure will be involved in the process.
