Prishtina, 22.12.2021 – Deputy Minister of Economy, Mentor Arifaj, received the Director of the Administration for Inspection Affairs of the Government of Montenegro, Ilir Harasani, and his associates.

During the meeting, Deputy Minister of Economy and Director of Administration for Inspection Affairs discussed how to organize the Energy Inspectorate at the level of Governments, i.e. Kosovo and Montenegro.

Deputy Minister Arifaj emphasized that the Energy Inspectorate operates within the Ministry of Economy and conducts the administrative supervision of the implementation of the Law on Energy, Law on Electricity, Law on the Energy Regulator, Law on Pressure Equipment, Law on Central Heating, Law on Natural Gas, Law on Energy Efficiency, as well as all bylaws implementing these laws.

Whereas, the Director of the Administration for Inspection Affairs of Montenegro stated that the organization of inspectorates in Montenegro is centralized at the level of the Prime Minister.

The purpose of the meeting was to get acquainted with the system for inspection control as well as with other activities in the public system, and to take steps for further cooperation between Kosovo and Montenegro.
