Minister Lluka meets Bulgarian Counterpart, Temenuzhka Petkova

Prishtina, 07.12.2017 – During his official visit to Bulgaria, the Minister of Economic Development, Valdrin Lluka, met with the Minister of Energy of Bulgaria, Temenuzhka Petkova, to discuss bilateral cooperation in the energy sector, and European integration processes that country is going through.

Considering the fact that Bulgaria will take over presidency over the European Union, from the beginning of 2018, its unreserved support to Kosovo’s affiliation and membership in the European Transmission System Operators’ organization (ENTSO-E) will be necessary in order to regulate the regional energy market, was one of the conclusions of the meeting.

Further, Minister Lluka underlined that Bulgaria has significantly enhanced its energy capacities through private capital investments, therefore its experience will be invaluable to Kosovo, especially bearing in mind that the country is now undergoing a similar process with the development of Thermal Power Plant Kosova e Re.
