Minister Kuçi and Ambassador Abbott find common ground on British partnership in recruiting board members in public enterprises

Prishtina, 17.07.2020 – The Minister of Economy and Environment, Blerim Kuçi, and the Ambassador of the United Kingdom, Nicholas Abbott, held a virtual introductory meeting.

Minister Kuçi and Ambassador Abbott discussed the support of the British in the meritocratic selection of board members of central public enterprises.

Regarding the agreement signed with Prime Minister Avdullah Hoti for the recruitment of senior management positions with the assistance of the British, Minister Kuçi assured Ambassador Abbott of conducting this process entirely according to their instructions and with full transparency.

Among other things, they talked about the economic situation created, after the effect of the COVID-19 pandemic, and about the projections that the Ministry of Economy and Environment has in economic development.

In addition, energy and environment were discussed between Minister Kuçi and Ambassador Abbott in broad terms.
