Prishtina, 29.02.2024 – Deputy Director of the Economy in the United Kingdom’s FCDO (Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office), Fergus Cumming, was received in a meeting by the Minister of Economy (ME), Artane Rizvanolli.

Cumming is visiting Kosovo for the first time and it is the second country he has visited in his new position, a visit prompted by the visit of the UK Foreign Secretary, David Cameron, on January 3rd, marking the significance that Secretary Cameron attaches to Kosovo and the strengthening of economic cooperation between our states.

Minister Rizvanolli stated that she and Deputy Director Cumming discussed about investment opportunities in Kosovo, with a particular emphasis on the fields of energy, telecommunications, mining, water, and the environment.

During the meeting, Deputy Director Cumming congratulated Minister Rizvanolli on the successful process of the 100 MW Photovoltaic Solar Auction, which is currently in the phase of evaluating the bids received in February 2024.
