Minister Rizvanolli speaks at the Croatian Business Days forum in Kosovo

Prishtina, October 1, 2026 – As part of the “Croatian Business Day in Kosovo 2026” event being held in Pristina, opportunities were discussed to strengthen economic cooperation, increase investments, and deepen the partnership between Kosovo and Croatia.

Within the framework of this event, the Minister of Economy of the Republic of Kosovo, Artane Rizvanolli, emphasized that Croatia has been a consistent partner of Kosovo, both in the process of consolidating statehood and in supporting its aspirations for European integration.

Speaking about the potential for economic cooperation between the two countries, Minister Rizvanolli invited Croatian companies to play a more active role in strategic investments that are transforming Kosovo’s energy sector and digital economy. She emphasized that Kosovo’s institutions are continuously working to simplify procedures and eliminate obstacles that delay the implementation of investment projects.

“We have published maps of renewable resources and guidelines for permit procedures, so that investors can more easily plan their projects. We will continue to improve the investment climate, ensuring fair competition and protecting the public interest,” the minister declared.

She announced that the bids for the first wind energy auction in Kosovo are currently in the evaluation process, while the next auction is expected to be announced before the end of this year.

“I encourage Croatian companies to prepare for this opportunity and explore partnerships with local companies. There are various opportunities for cooperation in project development and construction, equipment supply, and their long-term operation,” said Minister Rizvanolli.

“Croatian Business Day in Kosovo 2026” aims to serve as a sustainable platform to strengthen economic relations between Kosovo and Croatia, increase trade and investments, as well as exchange experiences and knowledge between businesses and institutions of both countries.

This year’s edition focuses on four strategic sectors: green transition, information technology and digitalization, defense and security industry, and food technology.

During the event, special discussions are taking place on opportunities for cooperation in defense technologies and dual-use industries, digital transformation as a driver of economic growth, accelerating investments in sustainable energy, as well as modernizing agri-food systems to increase exports and sustainability.

The event is attended by well-known Croatian companies and representatives from various sectors, including Podravka, Ericsson, Nikola Tesla, Dalekovod, Končar Group/Končar Digital, the Croatian Chamber of Commerce, SCAN, ORQA, and ALTpro.

The event is organized by the European Investors Council in Kosovo, in cooperation with the Embassy of the Republic of Croatia in Kosovo, aiming to become an annual platform for economic cooperation, investments, and knowledge exchange between the two countries.
