Prishtina, 05.08.2021 – The Minister of Economy, Artane Rizvanolli, together with the cabinet and the Department of Energy of the Ministry have held informal meetings with representatives of Kosovar businesses which deal with the production and installation of solar panels and developers of renewable energy.

ME representatives also met with representatives of civil society organizations which focus on the energy sector.

These meetings were held a week after the 2021 Solar Forum in Kosovo which brought together all relevant renewable energy actors to directly contribute to a potential solar strategy through panels, presentations and fairs.

After the forum and the identification of key needs, ME representatives closely discussed with these stakeholders to understand and identify their needs, challenges and expertise which will serve the long-term strategy for a fair and sustainable energy transition in Kosovo.

During the meetings, Minister Rizvanolli stated that “We are discussing the best options for the citizens and businesses of Kosovo. This [strategy] is mostly for future generations who will consume this energy”.
