Kosovo and Bulgaria are ready to exchange know-how in economy

Prishtina, 19.06.2013 – Minister of Economic Development, Fadil Ismajli, met today with the Ambassador of the Republic of Bulgaria in Kosovo, Mr. Bobi Bobev, with whom he spoke on strengthening the economic cooperation between the two countries.

Minister Ismajli and Ambassador Bobev have discussed on investment opportunities from Bulgaria, as EU member state, and Europe as a whole, to further develop existing capacities and on cooperation in various economic areas with Kosovo, through attraction of investments.

On this occasion, interlocutors also discussed on the possibility of establishing joint initiatives, joint organization of conferences, trainings, consultancies, and the particularly the need to exchange expertise and practices, and economic policies with Bulgarian experts of relevant areas.

Minister Ismajli pointed out that since Bulgaria is the closest European country to Kosovo, it opens way to the country’s integration in the European economic zone.

From his part, Ambassador Bobev highlighted Sofia’s interest to deepen economic cooperation with Prishtina, assessing appreciating the current relations between the two countries.
