Prishtina, 19/06/2013 – Minister of Economic Development, Fadil Ismajli, met today with the Non-Resident Ambassador of Canada in Kosovo and Canadian Ambassador in Zagreb, Louise Larocque, with whom he talked on recent economic developments in the country, with special emphasis on the possibility of cooperation between two countries in the areas under the scope of MED.

Minister Ismajli thanked Ambassador Larocque for the support her country has consistently given to Kosovo and added that the country is on track to create a favorable climate for foreign investment.

Ismaili said the focus of the work of MED is sustainable economic development, adding that the development of the energy sector has an important role in economic growth.

For her part, the Canadian Ambassador Minister wished Minister Ismajli best of luck in his new position, and reiterated that Canada will continue to support Kosovo in achieving its objectives, including economic development.
