Prishtina, 20.09.2012 – The Ministry of Economic Development refutes the statement made by the head of the Union of Kosovo Trade Unions (UKTU) – that the signature of the contract with the winner of the KEDS privatization bidding procedure, Calik & Limak, is postponed.

This is yet another misinformation launched recently by the head of UKTU.

We wish to remind Mr. Arifi that he attended the company presentation given by Calik & Limak and that he was informed then that the legal deadline for signing the contract is 90 days from the date of the selection of the winning bidder – namely 19 October 2012.

As stated in many occasions lately by Minister Beqaj, the contract with the winning company will be signed within the legal deadline and the public will be informed on the date of its signature.

The contract signing event will be public and may be covered by media.
