Prishtina, 22 March 2023 – The Minister of Economy, Artane Rizvanolli, met today with Vassilis Maragos, Head of the Unit for Bosnia and Herzegovina and Kosovo in the European Commission, who was accompanied by Jahnnes Madsen Stenbaek, Head of Cooperation, and representatives of the European Union Office in Kosovo.

The European Union is a committed partner to the development of the energy sector in the Republic of Kosovo, especially in dealing with the European energy crisis and the country’s transition to sustainable energy.

During the meeting, Mr. Maragos thanked Minister Rizvanolli for their cooperation, particularly for their work in developing the action plan for the EU’s €75 million package to address the European energy crisis.

Minister Rizvanolli assured the Ambassador that the joint work is a result of excellent cooperation between the teams of the Government of Kosovo and the European Union. Additionally, she presented the work done in developing and implementing the EU’s emergency package, which includes subsidizing energy tariffs, and the Energy Strategy.
