Call for Photovoltaic (PV) System for Generation of Electricity for Self-consumption Launched

Prishtina, 06.02.2023 – The Ministry of Economy today has launched a Public Call for the support of household consumers and micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises to invest in renewable energy systems – photovoltaic (PV) systems for generation of electricity for self-consumption, financed by the European Union (EU).

The subsidy amount for household consumers covers €250/kWp up to €1750.00, subsidizing only one photovoltaic (PV) system for generation of electricity for self-consumption per one (1) house. The system must be newly purchased. The purchase date must be from the announcement date of the Call, starting from 06.02.2024.

The application for subsidy is divided into two phases, and in both phases, the application is made online through the e-Kosova platform. The basic criterion for application is the electricity consumption criterion, which is found at the following link: https://ekosova.rks-gov.net/485

Installation of the photovoltaic (PV) system for generation of electricity for micro, small and medium enterprises

To qualify for a subsidy, your enterprise must be Micro, Small or Medium according to Law No. 04/L-220 on Foreign Investments:

Micro Enterprise must employ up to nine (9) employees;

Small Enterprise must employ from ten (10) to forty-nine (49) employees;

Medium Enterprise must employ from fifty (50) to two hundred and forty-nine (249) employees.

Each applicant is entitled to benefit from the subsidy for only one (1) photovoltaic (PV) system per business, and the system purchased must be new. The date of purchase must be from the date of announcement of the Call, which starts on 06.02.2024.

 

The subsidy amount for micro, small, or medium enterprises, for installation capacities of 3-9 kWp, will be €250/kWp, up to €2000.00.

For installation capacities 10 kWp or more, 200 €/kWh and up to 6000.00 € shall be subsidized.

An additional €200 subsidy will be granted for businesses owned or co-owned by women by fifty-one percent (51%).

The subsidy application is divided into two (2) phases and in the two (2) phases the application is made online through the e-Kosova platform.

 

You must have an individual or business account through which the e-Kosova platform will identify the businesses in which you are an owner or authorized representative. The application can be made by the shareholder/s or the person authorized by the company.

The application deadline for the first phase is until 31 May 2024, or until spending the budget allocated for this Call. Applications received in the first phase will be reviewed on the “FIRST COME, FIRST SERVED” basis, therefore we encourage you to apply as early as possible. While for the second phase, the deadline is until 30 September 2024.

Furthermore, a public call for support to micro, small, and medium enterprises in investing in renewable energy systems – water heating solar system will be launched soon.
