Prishtina, 10.06.2026 – The Ministry of Economy, in cooperation with the Municipality of Mitrovica and RWC “Mitrovica” JSC, is making an investment worth 775 thousand euros to improve the supply of drinking water for the residents of the villages of Melenicë, Zjaq, Maxherë and Vllahi in the Shala area.

Through two co-financing agreements, within the first phase of investments, the expansion of the water supply network, the construction of reservoirs and pumping stations, as well as the extension of water infrastructure in areas where the need for water supply is greatest will be enabled.

This investment will contribute to improving the quality of services, more efficient management of pressure in the network, reducing supply challenges and ensuring a more sustainable supply of drinking water for citizens.

The Ministry of Economy, the Municipality of Mitrovica and RWC “Mitrovica” JSC remain committed to extending the water supply network to all villages in the Municipality of Mitrovica.
