Ministry of Economomy discusses investment opportunities with entrepreneurs from Geneva

Prishtina, 26.06.2025 – The Deputy Minister of Economy, Mr. Getoar Mjeku, today welcomed a delegation from the Geneva Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Services (CCIG), composed of 20 Swiss entrepreneurs and political representatives who are exploring opportunities for economic cooperation and investment in Kosovo.

The delegation was led by Mr. Vincent Subilia, Director of the Chamber and MP in the Canton of Geneva, and Ms. Ana Roch, President of the Geneva Parliament, who expressed their readiness to build a long-term partnership. The delegation included entrepreneurs from the fields of energy, finance and construction, successful lawyers and architects, as well as representatives of the Albanian diaspora, among them Mr. Sami Gashi, deputy in the Geneva Parliament and responsible for relations with Kosovo.

Deputy Minister Mjeku spoke about the Government’s achievements in the economic sphere and the Ministry’s engagement in the sectors it covers, highlighting the energy, mining and ICT sectors. He appreciated the support that Switzerland has provided to the Republic of Kosovo, highly valued the role of the Kosovar diaspora and expressed the willingness to strengthen economic ties with Geneva.

The Swiss entrepreneurs expressed the desire to invest in specific fields, viewing Kosovo as a promising country with extraordinary potential.

The delegation will continue its visits to institutions in Kosovo, paving the way for concrete cooperation and joint projects in the future.
