Prishtina, 22.04.2025 – On the occasion of World Earth Day, the Ministry of Economy today organised a symbolic flower-planting action in front of its official premises. The activity was held as a sign of commitment to environmental preservation and to raise public awareness of caring for nature.

The event was attended by the Caretaker Minister of Economy, Artane Rizvanolli, who emphasised the importance of joint engagement for a cleaner environment and the leading role of public institutions in promoting sustainable practices. She underlined that energy efficiency is a key component for environmental protection and sustainable economic development.

Through this initiative, the Ministry of Economy recalls the importance of the efficient use of energy as a concrete way to reduce pollution and to safeguard natural resources.

Improving energy efficiency contributes to lower consumption and to the long-term protection of the environment.

Green energy, renewable sources and sustainable energy policies are essential to the Ministry’s vision of building a cleaner, more sustainable and more efficient future.

The activity was also supported by LuxDev, the Luxembourg Agency for Development Cooperation, through the project “Energy transition and climate mitigation in Kosovo”.

The Ministry calls on all citizens, institutions and businesses to join these efforts through sustainable practices and energy saving, thereby making a concrete contribution to protecting our common planet.
