Prishtina, 21.02.2025 – The Center for Energy and Sustainability of the University of Prishtina, supported by the Ministry of Economy, has awarded certificates to 46 auditors who have completed training for Energy Auditor for buildings and public lighting.

The ceremony was attended by the Deputy Minister of Economy, Getoar Mjeku, who spoke about the importance of efficiency in the energy transition and about the role of auditors in the projects financed by the Government of the Republic of Kosovo.

“We are working to encompass the modern challenges and goals of energy, environmental protection, security of supply, and cost affordability, by using both hands: on one hand, we have investments in capacities for energy generation and storage, and on the other hand, we have efficiency measures”, stated Deputy Minister Mjeku.

Rector Arben Hajrullahu said that the University of Prishtina will continue its engagement in the energy sector, focusing attention on sustainable development.

To date, through the Center for Energy and Sustainability, 272 auditors have been trained and certified.
