Certification of 40 Energy Auditors
Prishtina, 09.02.2024 – Deputy Minister of Economy, Getoar Mjeku, together with the Rector of the University of Prishtina ‘Hasan Prishtina’ and the Director of the Center for Energy and Sustainability (CES), Majlinda Daci, participated in the certification ceremony of 40 energy auditors.
During the ceremony, Deputy Minister Mjeku stated that these auditors being certified today play an important role in energy efficiency as a priority of the Government of Kosovo, particularly the Ministry of Economy, which aims to achieve the targets towards energy transition outlined in the Energy Strategy 2022-2031, approved last year and currently being implemented.
Deputy Minister Mjeku emphasized that after certification, each of the auditors will be part of initiatives that directly impact the future of the environment and the economy, considering the challenges faced by the energy sector, hence it is your responsibility to contribute to the development of a sustainable environment for all.
Meanwhile, the Director of the Center for Energy and Sustainability (CES), Majlinda Daci, highlighted that awarding these certificates marks an important moment, demonstrating the success of months of work, dedication, and commitment from our candidates.
On his part, the Rector of the University of Prishtina ‘Hasan Prishtina’, Qerim Qerimi, stated that it is an honor for him to jointly award the certificates for energy auditors with Deputy Minister Mjeku, adding that their continuous efforts aim to find as efficient ways as possible to provide students with opportunities for practical work and training in line with the job market.
The certification project for auditors was organized by the Center for Energy and Sustainability (CES), while the training was conducted by the Public University ‘Hasan Prishtina’.
This is the fourth group of certified auditors, bringing the total number of certified auditors to 226, a process that will continue in the future.
