Prishtina, 15.07.2020 – The Minister of Economy and Environment, Blerim Kuçi made a statement today about the situation created in Telecom of Kosovo.

 

Mr. Kuçi stated that, today work is being done regarding the blocking of the bank accounts of Telecom of Kosovo, and the best possible solution will be found.

 

This is the full statement of Minister Blerim Kuçi:

 

During today you may have read in the media about the blocking of bank accounts of Telecom of Kosovo.

 

This blocking of the account has of course worried us, and my entire cabinet is working intensively with the relevant institutions to find a solution.

 

The beginning of this situation that is happening today, is in 2016, when the economic operator “Dardafon.net” has won in the International Arbitration Tribunal, where it has been recognized the right to debt execution.

 

We already have a decision of the Basic Court of Prishtina ordering enforcement execution, but I am convinced that we will achieve the best possible. We have arranged the meetings and believe in solutions.

 

I invite Telecom employees and other actors to be rational in their statements and actions.
