Minister Lluka informed the French Ambassador on the MED priorities

Prishtina, 15.09.2017 –The Minister of Economic Development, Valdrin Lluka met today with the Ambassador of France in Prishtina, Didier Chabert, whom he informed on the MED priorities under the Minister’s leadership.

On this occasion, Minister Lluka thanked Ambassador Chabert for the support France has given to Kosovo, especially in the field of economy, and stated that the development of strategic sectors is an immediate need for sustainable economic development.

The head of MED also emphasized that the development of sectors such as energy and mining will be the focus of his work, and added that particular attention will also be paid to publicly owned enterprises in order to improve the services to citizens.

Minister Lluka pointed out that ongoing projects, such as TPP Kosova e Re and other projects will have a higher implementation dynamic.

They discussed the wastewater treatment project, valued at around 86 million euros, funded by the French Government, for which Minister Lluka assured the French diplomat that the implementation unit for this project will be established son.

An important topic of discussion in the meeting was the development of Trepça and the promotion of projects in the sectors of energy, mining, waters, etc.

Minister Lluka and Ambassador Chabert gave high praise to the relations between the two countries, and it was stated that France will continue to support Kosovo in all areas in the future.
