Prishtina, 11.07.2024 – The Minister of Economy (ME), Artane Rizvanolli, announced that, together with the Chief Executive Officer of Telecom of Kosovo, Burbuqe Hana, they observed the replacement of one of the BTSs in the center of Prishtina, specifically on the building where the Ministry of Economy is located.

Minister Rizvanolli emphasized that the technology replacement is part of the modernization of the mobile network across Kosovo, and within a few days, the replacement of all equipment with the latest 5G technology in Prishtina will be completed, and by the end of the year, the network modernization throughout Kosovo will be finalized.

“The CEO recommended that I purchase a larger package from Vala, due to the new opportunities offered by 5G technology. Together, we visited the Vala point of sale at ‘Zahir Pajaziti’ Square, which now pays much lower rent than three years ago. I was warmly received by the staff in a modern and pleasant work environment”, she stated.

Minister Rizvanolli thanked the CEO and the employees for their dedication, noting that Telecom would not have been recovered without the commitment of each and every one of them.

She also invited citizens to follow Telecom of Kosovo for information and technical instructions to ensure they have access to the latest 5G technology services.
