Prishtina, 10.10.2024 – The Minister of Economy, Artane Rizvanolli, participated in the Just Energy Transition Forum, organized by the Energy Community.

In her remarks, Minister Rizvanolli emphasized that discussions about the energy sector and its green transition are extremely important, especially now that we have undertaken significant steps.

She also stated that we are committed to ensuring that our transition is equitable, inclusive, and just.

“The citizens of Kosovo are at the center of our just energy transition, and we are ensuring this through direct support for increasing efficiency and electricity consumption, through the construction of new projects in competitive forms that ensure lower prices, and the drafting of long-term policies that favor citizens, especially vulnerable categories”, said Minister Rizvanolli, among other things. She highlighted the projects that Kosovo is implementing to increase the generation capacities of solar energy, wind energy, and the battery project for electricity storage.

She also thanked the Energy Community for their continuous support in all the steps we are taking toward a clean and fair sector.

In addition to Minister Rizvanolli, the Forum was attended by the German Ambassador, Jörn Rohde, the Head of the European Union Office in Kosovo, Aivo Orav, the Director of the Energy Community, Artur Lorkowski, and other representatives of the Energy Community.
