Home insulation project begins for social assistance families, focusing on single mothers and persons with special needs

Prishtina, May 22, 2026 – The Acting Minister of Economy, Artane Rizvanolli, together with representatives of the United Nations Development Programme and the Kosovo Energy Efficiency Fund (KEEF), visited the commencement of works on the first homes of families selected from the list of social assistance beneficiaries, within the framework of the project “Green and Just Transition for Kosovo.”

On this occasion, Minister Rizvanolli emphasized that the project beneficiaries were selected from among the families most in need of support, with a particular focus on single mothers and vulnerable families.

She stated that through investments in energy efficiency, these families will be provided with significantly better living conditions, with cooler homes during the summer and warmer homes during the winter.

Through investments in energy efficiency, the project aims to improve the living conditions of vulnerable families by reducing energy consumption and lowering the financial burden of energy costs.

The project aims to implement energy efficiency measures in up to 280 homes by 2028 and is funded by the Government of Denmark, while being implemented by the Kosovo Energy Efficiency Fund (KEEF) in partnership with United Nations Development Programme Kosovo and the Ministry of Economy.
