Prishtina, 10.04.2025 – During yesterday’s visit to the Kosovo Energy Corporation (KEK), the Minister of Economy, Artane Rizvanolli, was informed that overhaul works on B1 Unit in TPP Kosova B are progressing according to the planned schedule. On this occasion, the Minister stated that with the investments to be made within 2025, they will increase this unit’s capacity by around 15 MW.

“In KEK, I visited the overhaul works on B1 Unit in TPP Kosova B, which are progressing according to plan and precede the start of the modernization of the turbine in B2 Unit, which will begin at the end of April. This year’s investments will increase this unit’s capacity by about 15 MW, whereas upon full completion of the rehabilitation, TPP Kosova B’s capacity will be increased by 80 MW, its annual generation by 600 GWh, and its lifespan by 20 years”, she stated.

Minister Rizvanolli was also informed about the leaks that occurred in B2 Unit, which required it to be taken offline on Tuesday after midnight.

The Minister thanked the workers and management, who are simultaneously working on the overhaul of B1 Unit and on repairing the leak in B2 Unit.
