Prishtina, 27 June 2024 – The 2^nd International Conference on Renewable Energies and Smart Technologies (REST 24) is being held at the Faculty of Electrical and Computer Engineering (FECE).

The opening of this conference was conducted by the Minister of Economy (ME), Artane Rizvanolli and the Dean of FECE, Prof. Dr. Isak Shabani.

Minister Rizvanolli stated that cooperation between academia experts, policymakers and the private sector is critical for the development of dynamic and innovative sectors such as energy. As we embark on new processes, such as conducting innovative technology auctions like energy storage capacities, it is crucial that we have all perspectives, research data and insights for our future steps, she concluded.

REST 24 brought together the brightest minds in the area of renewable energy and smart technologies, offering an important platform for the exchange of ideas and scientific research. The conference lasts for two days, today and tomorrow, wherein the participants will have the opportunity to listen to the presentations of over 100 research papers from 25 countries worldwide, creating professional networks and engaging in discussions on the latest developments in this area.

During today and tomorrow, panels will be held on the following topics: Energy storage technologies, Navigating the energy of the future: Innovations and challenges in future energy systems and natural resources, network empowerment, Exploring dynamic flexibility solutions for a resilient energy system, as well as discussions on studies from these areas.

This event, taking place over the course of two days, will provide an inspiring environment for scientists, engineers, students and professionals to share their knowledge and experiences.
