Minister of Economy, Artane Rizvanolli, at the World Economic Forum in Davos
Davos, 24.01.2026 – The Minister of Economy of the Republic of Kosovo, Artane Rizvanolli, participated in the World Economic Forum in Davos, where Kosovo is one of 25 countries in the world represented with the “House of Kosovo”.
During her stay in Davos, Minister Rizvanolli held a series of meetings with international partners, with a focus on advancing economic and institutional cooperation. In this context, the Prime Minister of the Republic of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, and Minister Artane Rizvanolli held a meeting with the Minister of Economy and Industry of Estonia, Erik Keldo, where they discussed strengthening cooperation in the fields of digitalization, mining and similar areas.
Minister Rizvanolli also held discussions with the Director of the EIB, Andrew McDowell, regarding district heating projects in Prishtina and other cities in Kosovo, which aim to implement concrete initiatives, in line with the priorities of inclusive development.
As part of the Forum’s agenda, the Minister of Economy also participated in the energy panel, “Powering Growth Responsibly: Energy Security and Transition Pathways” at the Kosovo House in Davos.
In addition to Minister Rizvanolli, the panel was attended by representatives of European and financial institutions, such as: Artur Lorkowskin, Director of the Energy Community Secretariat, Andrew McDowell, Managing Director of the European Investment Bank, and Erez Vigodman, co-founder of Terra-A and business leader. The panel was moderated by Dr. Shane Szarkowski, Editor-in-Chief of the Diplomatic Courier.
The opportunities for diversifying energy sources in Kosovo were discussed, with the aim of increasing security of supply and maintaining price affordability, as part of long-term energy sector policies.
Minister Rizvanolli emphasized that recent-years-developments have fundamentally changed the way countries treat energy, emphasizing that energy security and energy independence are today inseparable from national security.
Despite the official meetings, Minister Rizvanolli has also held meetings with representatives of the diaspora, where it was also emphasized the importance of building and strengthening ties, gratitude for the continuous contribution of the diaspora, as well as identified opportunities for further cooperation in the future.
