Prime Minister Kurti and Minister Rizvanolli visit the Post of Kosovo

The Caretaker Prime Minister of the Republic of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, together with the Caretaker Minister of Economy, Artane Rizvanolli, visited the Post of Kosovo, where they were briefed on the positive financial outcomes and the expansion of services of this public enterprise throughout the territory of Kosovo.

Prime Minister Kurti and Minister Rizvanolli were received by the Chief Executive Officer of the Post of Kosovo, Nora Rraci and the Chairman of the Board of the Post, Gëzim Paci.

On this occasion, Prime Minister Kurti commended the achievements of the public enterprise, which now operates 166 post offices nationwide, including 16 of which are located in the northern part of the Republic of Kosovo.

Prime Minister Kurti emphasized that illegal financial flows have been stopped, illegal structures dismantled, and that neither Serbia Post nor the Serbian postal savings bank operates in Kosovo anymore. He added that the dinar is no longer a means of payment and that there has been no disruption in services, as the Post of Kosovo has remained present to provide full and quality services to citizens.

“The Post of Kosovo is a public universal, fast, secure and affordable service. Its value is measured not by the cost of delivery, but by the benefit to citizens”, stated Prime Minister Kurti, congratulating the management, the Post Board, and all employees for their achievements so far.

The Caretaker Minister of Economy, Artane Rizvanolli, emphasized that it is important that citizens’ trust in the Post of Kosovo has been restored, and highlighted two key elements for the development and future of the Post of Kosovo: the restoration of trust and financial sustainability.

She noted that over the past three years, Kosovo Post has operated profitably and has made self-financed investments of €1.6 million in motorcycles, electric cars and vans.

“During the ten previous years, since its establishment as a separate entity in 2012, following its separation from Telecom of Kosovo, the Post of Kosovo  continuously operated at annual losses of up to €4 million, accumulating over €24 million in total losses. In contrast, over the past two years, the Post has generated approximately €1.3 million in profit”, Minister Rizvanolli stated.

The CEO of the Post of Kosovo, Nora Rraci, noted that the enterprise has achieved substantial financial improvement after more than a decade of losses, reporting that profits for 2025 reached around €1 million.

She also emphasized that the Post of Kosovo has expanded its network of post offices by roughly 30 percent, provides services 365 days a year, and has made capital investments in operational equipment and technology to enhance efficiency and service quality for citizens.
