Berlin, 03.11.2023 – The Minister of Economy of the Republic of Kosovo, Artane Rizvanolli, accompanied by the Ambassador of Kosovo to Germany, Faruk Ajeti, was received in the meeting by Anna Lührmann, German Minister of State for Europe and Climate.

During the meeting, Minister Rizvanolli presented to German Minister Lührmann “Kosovo Energy Investment Package 2023 – 2025”, which provides for the construction of generating and accumulating capacities of 950 megawatts through competitive schemes. The ministers further discussed the next steps for the Climate Partnership between Germany and Kosovo.

Minister Lührmann congratulated Minister Rizvanolli for the work done in the Investment Package, which offers attractive investment opportunities for German companies in the energy sector, starting with the first 100-megawatt solar auction of the Republic of Kosovo.

Minister Rizvanolli announced that these concrete projects are also supported by the work in legislation, such as the case with the First Law on Renewable Energy Sources, which has been approved in the Government, and which further improves the investment environment in Kosovo.
