Pristina, 20.01.2023 – Today, due to the floods caused by heavy rainfall, some regions of Kosovo such as Peja, Istog, Mitrovica, Vushtrri, Klina, Podujeva, and Gjakova are experiencing power outages.

For the safety of residents in these areas, KEDS teams have been forced to turn off several electricity lines, as some homes have been affected by the floods.

However, by now damages have been repaired in several areas and they are continuously working to restore power as soon as possible.

The Ministry of Economy is in full contact and coordination with relevant energy institutions to make the maximum effort to repair the network as soon as possible.

Currently, few areas of the Skenderaj, Mitrovica and Peja municipalities are facing great difficulties with regular supply. The Ministry of Economy is in continuous contact with the Energy Distribution Company – KEDS, whose teams are on the ground repairing the network.
