Prishtina, 21.10.2022 – Deputy Minister Getoar Mjeku and officials of the Ministry of Economy have continued to participate in the Shareholder’s Meetings of the central publicly-owned enterprises of Post of Kosovo and Kosovo Telecom “Vala”.

The two joint stock companies owned by the Republic are recovering after years of mismanagement and misuse. New boards and managements have turned around key financial and operational indicators, despite multiple challenges.

The Post has increased productivity and revenues, shrunk losses, and significantly reduced non-core cots to prioritize investments in information technology and provision of quality and secure services.

The Telecom has refreshed its product portfolio, especially including the IPTV and mobile telephony, resulting in increased revenues. Restructuring has also continued, as a deep reform that will enable the company to recover and prosper.

The Government of the Republic of Kosovo has supported the Telecom with the necessary funds to overcome the crisis caused by the previous managements and to ensure recovery in the following years.

The Ministry of Economy remains committed to the constitutional duty of increasing the value of the publicly-owned enterprise and providing quality services to citizens.
