Pristina, 16.02.2023 – The Minister of Economy, Artane Rizvanolli, met with representatives of the Kosovo Banking Association to discuss cooperation aimed at enhancing services for citizens.

During the meeting, Minister Rizvanolli informed the representatives about the process of functionalizing electronic identification and signature, as well as the further steps required to fulfil legal obligations arising from electronic identification legal acts.

They also discussed about deepening cooperation in accessing financing to increase energy efficiency capacities, where banks can play a crucial role not only in communicating with citizens but also in developing products for the citizens.

The representatives of the banks of Kosovo informed the Minister about the implementation of electronic signature in the banking sector and thanked Minister Rizvanolli for the adoption of the law after a five-year delay in drafting the legislation on electronic identification, as well as for the drafting and adoption of ten secondary acts on electronic identification in a record time.
