Berlin, 25.10.2022 – The Minister of Economy, Artane Rizvanolli, participated in the meeting of the Ministers of Energy of the Western Balkans under the Berlin Process, at the invitation of the Vice-Chancellor of Germany and the Minister for Economic Affairs and Climate Action, Robert Habeck.

During the meeting, Minister Rizvanolli raised the critical issues and needs of the Republic of Kosovo to face the European energy crisis. Facing this crisis is of importance beyond the climate and environment protection, it is a matter of security. Therefore, the steps we need to undertake to face this crisis extend beyond borders.

To minimize the impact of the European crisis on the citizens of the Republic of Kosovo, Minister Rizvanolli reiterated the need for significant funds from Germany and the European Union, and asked for direct support and contribution to the expansion of energy efficiency measures in the residential sector, central heating, and new generation capacities from renewable energy sources.
