Mitrovica, 01.06.2023 – Deputy Minister of Economy, Getoar Mjeku, delivered a speech at the opening of the XIXth Balkan Mineral Processing Congress, held in Mitrovica.

In his address, the Deputy Minister highlighted the significance of science in the mining sector and outlined the Government’s plans for the “Trepça” enterprise and the economic development of the country.

He also acknowledged the work of Prof. Dr. Shyqyri Kelmendi, the initiator of the congress, who passed away last year.

Organized by the Balkan Academy of Science on Mineral Technologies in partnership with the Ministry of Economy and the University of Mitrovica “Isa Boletini”, the Congress gathered experts in the field who presented their research on mineral technologies.
