Prishtina, 17 May 2015 – Ministry of Economic Development (MED) has undertaken he initiative to establish and independent fund dedicated to supporting new companies and advancing information technology and innovations in Kosovo, based on the concept of public-private partnerships and in conformity with the Government’s strategic focuses, said today the head of this ministry, Minister Blerand Stavileci.

Prishtina, 07 May 2015 – Minister of Economic Development Blerand Stavileci is attending the 10th International Conference of Electronic Communication Regulators, held in Istanbul, Turkey, under the organization of the - Information and Communication Technologies Authority.

Prishtina, 05 May 2015 - Sustainable economic development is not possible without advancement of information technology and innovations, and this requires a greater and closer cooperation between public institutions and the private sector. This is the main conclusion of the Forum on “Economic development through information technology and innovations” organized for the first time in Prishtina under the patronage of the Ministry of Economic Development.

Prishtina, 05 May 2015 - Information Technology and Innovations are the basis for sustainable economic development of a given country, as all other sectors, including energy, mining, etc. are directly related with and dependent on these sectors, said the Minister of Economic Development Blerand Stavileci.

Prishtina, 29 April 2015 - implementation of clean energy projects in Kosovo is one of MED's objectives, which aims to provide a suitable environment, which would attract private investments in this sector, said Deputy Minister of Economic Development Besa Zogaj Gashi, during a meeting with USAID representatives.

Prishtina, 25 April 2015 - Minister of Economic Development, Blerand Stavileci, is participating in the Diaspora Businesses Union in Germany, held in Cologne and also attended by the Kosovo Minister of Diaspora, Valon Murati, Deputy Minister of Economic Development, Trade and Entrepreneurship of Albania, Brulinda Paskali, Mayor of Cologne, Ralph Heinen and representatives of Kosovo and diaspora businesses.

Prishtina, 07 April 2015 - Minister of Economic Development Blerand Stavileci, accompanied by Deputy Minister Besa Zogaj - Gashi, visited Kosovo Energy Corporation (KEK), where they were received by the Board of Directors and senior management of this corporation and informed on the recent developments, respectively on steps taken towards the enhancement of security of energy supply for its customers.

Prishtina, 01.04.2015 - Minister of Economic Development Blerand Stavileci, along with Minister of Trade and Industry Hikmete Bajrami and Minister of Finance Avdullah Hoti, presented to students of Riinvest College, on the 100th day of the new Government, the programmatic orientations of Kosovo Government from the perspective of ministries they head.

Prishtinë, 01.04.2015 - Energy represents an important sector and a prerequisite for economic development, therefore the Government is making efforts to harmonize its actions in order to ensure the generation of sufficient energy through the development of new generation capacities, and their combination with alternative energy sources and the concept of energy efficiency, said the Minister of Economic Development, Blerand Stavileci.

Prishtina, 30.03.2015 - Kosovo's energy generation capacities are obsolete, therefore there is an urgent need for new generation capacities, in order to ensure a sustainable electricity supply. However, it is important to invest in significant components of the electricity sector, such as Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy Sources, said Minister of Economic Development Blerand Stavileci.
