    Agreement for TPP Kosova e Re, the greatest success of 2015

    Prishtina, 30.12.2015 – Finalization of the agreement with the US Company, Contour global, as the investor for the construction of “Kosova e Re” power plant, is the greatest success of the year in the energy sector, said the Minister of Economic Development, Blerand Stavileci. Stavileci made these comments in the concluding conference in 2015, where he presented the achievements of his Ministry during the year as well as the challenges faced. He noted that Energy and Information and Communication Technology are two strategic sectors where significant developments took place.

    Memorandum of Understanding is signed between the Ministry of Economic Development and American Investor Contour Global

    Stavileci: 400kV interconnection Kosovo-Albania, a project of regional importance

    Prishtina, 17.12.2015 – Representatives of institutions of Kosovo, Albania, German Embassy, KfW, KOSTT and OST considered that the 400 kV Kosovo-Albania interconnection line is one of the most important energy projects, which will improve the energy system, and will create a special connection between the two countries, the region and the European Union. These comments were made during the inauguration ceremony of the project “Secondary regulation frequency-power Kosovo-Albania” and the completion of works on the 400 kV interconnection line until the border with Albania, organized today in NT 400/220 kV Kosovo B, in Kastriot.

    Agreement between Kosovo and Albania on ancillary services/secondary regulation expected soon

    Prishtina, 20 Nov 2015 – Deputy Minister of Economic Development, Besa Zogaj-Gashi, met today with Deputy Minister of Energy and Industry of Albania, Ilir Bejtja, and the first advisor on energy, Entela Çipa, to discuss on an agreement for the provision of ancillary services (secondary regulation) between two countries. This process is of great significance for KOSTT’s membership in ENTSO-E, and the existing infrastructure was positively tested by operators of two countries – KOSTT and OSTT KESH. Deputy Ministers Gashi and Bejtja agreed that functionalization of this project requires the execution of a commercial agreement between KOSTT and OST.

    KGS monitors natural gas source in village Torinë
