Prishtina, 23.04.2026. – Minister of Economy, Artane Rizvanolli, participated in the ” Girls in ICT” conference organized by The Foundation House on the campus of RIT Kosovo (AUK), as part of the celebration of the International Day of Girls in Information and Communication Technologies.

In her speech, Minister Rizvanolli emphasized the importance of empowering girls and women in the technology sector, stressing that the development of Kosovo’s digital economy cannot be achieved without the equal participation of women in ICT, STEM and innovation.

She reminded that the Government of the Republic of Kosovo continuously supported this sector, awarding over 4,880 scholarships for girls and women in STEM fields, as well as training about 5,000 young people in the field of information and communication technologies, where a significant part of the participants were girls.

The conference brought together representatives of local and international institutions, organizations and technological experts in the field of technology, with the aim of promoting the role of girls and women in ICT, as well as creating space for the exchange of experiences and inspiration for new generations.

This event was supported by the Ministry of Economy as part of its support to non-governmental organizations, through the “Girls in Technology 2026” project.
