The incumbent Minister, Mr. Valrdin Lluka, attended the Creative Economy forum

Prishtina, 15.11.2019 – The incumbent Minister of Economic Development, Mr. Valdrin Lluka, following the invitation by the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Slovenia, Mr. Miro Cerar, has attended the Creative Economy forum that took place in Slovenia.

“We spoke of sustainable economic development and the positive effects on economic growth when creative sectors cooperate with common ones. Art and Industry, when united, bring about added value to the product and employment of young people, consecutively increasing the Gross Domestic Product. Such combination can now be seen in Kosovo as well, whereby some timber, textile, metal or electronic games companies have reached international markets for the very reason of making such combinations, thereby opening to new markets”, stated Minister Lluka.

During the course of the forum Minister Lluka stated that Kosovo has, like never before, attained successes in arts and culture, fashion design, architecture and information technology. Increased cross-sector cooperation means higher economic potentials.

In the forum, the founder of Azza Fahmy Jewellery shared how she managed to transform her passion for art into a global business by creating unique products. Today her company has 260 employees in Egypt and are still expanding.

This forum comprised a panel of Ministers and Deputy Ministers of Economy and Culture from Albania, Montenegro, Algeria and Palestine.
