Support and Investments for Trepça

Prishtina, 02.05.2023 – Deputy Minister of Economy, Getoar Mjeku, and Acting CEO of Trepça, Enis Abdurrahmani, signed today two agreements to subsidize the enterprise with 1.87 million EUR.

With these funds, Trepça Sh.A. will carry out capital investments worth of 970,000 EUR in three business units across the country, namely the flotation mines in Stanterg, Kishnica-Artana, and Kopaonik-Leposaviq, and will cover operational expenses amounting to 900,000 EUR.

By the end of the year, the enterprise will receive 3 million EUR in subsidies from the Ministry of Economy as well as a 20 million EUR loan from the Government of the Republic of Kosovo for capital investments in mining machinery and new flotation.

Today’s agreements were signed in the premises of the Kishnica-Artana business unit, attended by the Deputy Mayor of the Municipality of Graçanica, Leutrim Ajeti.

Officials of the Ministry, enterprise, and Municipality stopped for a working lunch at the workers’ canteen, which resumed its operations last fall after nearly two decades.

Trepça Sh.A. closed the year 2022 with a positive balance sheet, for the first time since the end of the war.
