Prishtina, 07 May 2015 – Minister of Economic Development Blerand Stavileci is attending the 10th International Conference of Electronic Communication Regulators, held in Istanbul, Turkey, under the organization of the – Information and Communication Technologies Authority.

Minister Stavileci used the opportunity to present Republic of Kosovo’s legal and institutional framework, underscoring opportunities our country provides for the development of this sector and steps undertaken by the relevant institutions towards its stimulation.

He also presented concrete facts on the high level of utilization of information technologies in Kosovo, which comprises a necessary prerequisite for the development of businesses in this field and for ensuring a sustainable development.

The head of MED considered that the conference is being held in a very important moment, when the Government of Kosovo has taken concrete steps in the promotion of information technology and its infrastructure, making this sector one of its utmost priorities.

Under the framework of this gathering, Minister Stavileci met a number of counterparts and other conference participants to discuss on cooperation opportunities.

Otherwise, the International Conference of Electronic Communication Regulators gathers ministers, national electronic communication regulators and representatives of the ICT industries, and is used to discuss and share information and practices in this sphere.
