Rizvanolli met with the Green Committee and the Energy and Mining Committee of the American Chamber of Commerce in Kosovo

Prishtina, 14.04.2022 – Minister of Economy, Artane Rizvanolli, met with the Green Committee and the Energy and Mining Committee of the American Chamber of Commerce in Kosovo, with whom she discussed the plans of the Government of the Republic of Kosovo for green energy and its impact on sustainable economy.

During the discussion, Minister Rizvanolli presented the work and challenges of the energy sector, as well as the Energy Strategy 2022 – 2031, which is near completion.

Minister Rizvanolli said that the Energy Strategy 2022 – 2031, in addition to aiming at the decarbonisation of the energy sector in the country by 2050, thus fulfilling Kosovo’s high potential for the development of renewable energy sources, reflects the commitment of the Government in terms of social and economic development and aims to enable the energy sector to serve as a tool for economic growth and increase of business opportunities and employment of young people.
