Public consultations on the Draft Energy Strategy 2022-2031 in the Municipality of Gjilan

Gjilan, 16.06.2022 – The Minister of Economy, Artane Rizvanolli, together with associates, held a public consultations meeting on the Energy Strategy 2022-2031 with citizens, assembly members and experts from the Municipality of Gjilan.

Minister Rizvanolli and energy sector experts, who drafted the Strategy, presented to the citizens of Gjilan the ten-year plans for the energy sector and the vision of the Government of the Republic of Kosovo in this regard.

Minister Rizvanolli stated that the Energy Strategy 2022-2031 aims to put the citizens of the country at its center and to be as comprehensive as possible.

During the discussions, the Minister shared the importance that this Strategy places on security of supply, affordability and integration into the regional market.

Citizens and experts in the field of energy from Gjilan expressed their interest about the Energy Strategy 2022-2031, and discussed their ideas about the objectives and ten-year goals of the Strategy.

The Draft Energy Strategy 2022-2031 is on public discussion until 27 June 2022 on the Public Discussion platform as well as on the website of the Ministry of Economy.
