Ministry of Economy holds Energy Sessions to develop staff skills in energy market development and integration

Prishtina, 23.07.2021 – The Ministry of Economy (MoE), in cooperation with the team of USAID-funded Project ESA (Energy Sustainability Activity in Kosovo), held two energy sessions on 22 and 23 July to increase the capacity and skills of the staff of the Department of Energy in MoE regarding the energy market development and integration.

These workshops were held in the framework of Energy Sessions in the electricity markets, which ESA provides to energy institutions in Kosovo.

The meetings focused on the wholesale electricity markets and included practical and theoretical elements, based on the experiences of the Nordic countries and Germany on imbalance solutions, transmission system operators, roles of various business actors in electricity supply etc.

Such workshops provide the Department of Energy in the Ministry of Economy as well as other institutional energy actors the opportunity to stay informed on the latest practices and knowledge in the field.
