Prishtina, 09 March 2023 – The Minister of Economy, Artane Rizvanolli, has signed a Memorandum of Cooperation with the Association of Engineers of Switzerland (AES) in the fields of renewable energy, dual education and training, mining, waste recycling, energy infrastructure, and railway transport.

This cooperation began at the beginning of the year during the joint visit of Minister Rizvanolli and Prime Minister Albin Kurti to Switzerland, where they also met with the Association of Engineers.

In the working meeting with representatives of the Association of Engineers of Switzerland (AES), today also participated the Deputy Minister of Economy, Getoar Mjeku, representatives of the Cabinet of the Minister and the Ministry of Economy, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and Diaspora, Liza Gashi, representatives of the Cabinets of Ministers Nagavci and Aliu, as well as representatives of senior management of Trepça, Infrakos, Trainkos, and the Geological Service of Kosovo.

During their stay in Kosovo, the Association of Engineers of Switzerland will visit these three enterprises to see their work and challenges up close.

Representatives of the Association of Engineers of Switzerland thanked the Minister for the opportunity to give their professional contribution in Kosovo for the first time. Minister Rizvanolli thanked them for their dedication and readiness to push forward our country’s economic development and added that she is fully convinced that tangible results from this collaboration will be seen very soon.
