Prishtina, 04.11.2022 – The Minister of Economy, Artane Rizvanolli, participated in the round-table on Energy Strategy of the Republic of Kosovo, organized by the Riinvest Institute as part of the Green Talks series of round-tables.

This round-table was also attended by experts in the field of energy, civil society activists, international organizations and media representatives, where they discussed the Draft Energy Strategy in the current context and the commitments deriving from the Green Agenda for the Western Balkans.

Minister Rizvanolli spoke about the Energy Strategy of the Republic of Kosovo 2022-2031, which, she said, has been an open and highly transparent process like never before, since the beginning of the drafting of the Strategy, with numerous meetings with civil society , experts, academicians and international organizations, while she also visited the 7 main cities of Kosovo where she heard from citizens and local institutions their concerns and what they expect from this Strategy.

She further noted that for the development and increase of electricity generation capacities, new technologies are targeted, which have no environmental impacts and do not create dependence on the generation of energy from coal. She also said that energy storage systems will be important for energy stability in our country.
