Minister Rizvanolli Receives World Bank Country Manager for Kosovo

Prishtina, 15.06.2021 – The Minister of Economy, Artane Rizvanolli,
together with representatives of the cabinet of the Ministry of Economy (ME) received
in a meeting today the World Bank Country Manager for Kosovo and North
Macedonia, Massimiliano Paolucci, the Energy Sector Specialist, Rhedon Begolli
and the Water Resources Management Specialist, Trandelina Bara.

At
the meeting, ME and WB representatives discussed the World Bank projects in
Kosovo which fall under the ME’s responsibility. Both sides expressed interest
and willingness to deepen long-term cooperation between the two institutions.

The
meeting also focused on joint projects in the field of energy, private sector
development and focus on the microeconomic level. While both sides agree that green
energy remains the right path to development, the affordability and
sustainability of projects represent key elements of development and will be
further explored through analysis, policy recommendations and joint studies.
