Minister Rizvanolli receives in a meeting the Executive Director of AWESK, Arijeta Pajaziti

Prishtina, 09.09.2021 – The Minister of Economy, Artane Rizvanolli received in a meeting the Executive Director of the Association of Women in the Energy Sector of Kosovo (AWESK), Arijeta Pajaziti.

Areas like energy in Kosovo and globally are dominated by men. The involvement and encouragement of women in this sector is not only important for the empowerment of women, but also to ensure the improvement of policies and efficiency of the sector as a whole.

During the meeting, Minister Rizvanolli and Arijeta Pajaziti discussed the inclusion of women at every level of the sector, including the boards of public enterprises, as well as the barriers faced by women for engagement in leadership positions in this sector.

The Minister assured that gender sensitivity and equal gender inclusion is a goal not only of the Ministry of Economy, but of the entire Government and that the work of civil society organizations in this regard and substantial cooperation with them are extremely important.
