Prishtina, 16 December 2023 – The Minister of Economy (ME), Artane Rizvanolli, received in a meeting Colleen Hyland, Director of Central and Southern European Affairs at the US Department of State, to discuss developments and achievements in the sectors covered by ME.

Rizvanolli and Hyland discussed various topics of economic development such as exports, the job market, female employment, the attraction of foreign direct investments, energy, and the dynamic sector of Information and Communication Technology (ICT).

Hyland is quite familiar with Kosovo as she has served as the Deputy Chief of Mission at the U.S. Embassy in Kosovo and previously as a Political and Economic Advisor. “It is therefore a pleasure to share with her the progress of Kosovo over these years, to which she herself has contributed” stated Minister Rizvanolli.

During the discussion, Rizvanolli expressed her gratitude for the support of the United States Government and agencies such as USAID and MCC for their crucial role in the development of the economy in general, and energy in particular.
