Minister Rizvanolli held bilateral meetings during the Berlin Energy Transition Dialogue

Prishtina, 05.04.2022 – The Minister of Economy, Artane Rizvanolli during her several day stay in Berlin, Germany, where she participated in the Energy Transition Dialogue, had bilateral meetings with Anna Lührmann, German Minister of State for Europe and Climate, Kostas Skrekas, Greek Minister of the Environment and Energy, and with Oliver Krischer, Parliamentary State Secretary at the German Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Action.

Minister Rizvanolli declared that these bilateral meetings have served not only to re-emphasize the common goals towards energy transition, but also to further strengthen and concretize bilateral and regional cooperation.

The head of the ME in the meeting with the German Minister of State for Europe and Climate, Anna Lührmann, discussed the European perspective of Kosovo, on which occasion the German Minister expressed her acknowledgement of Kosovo’s progress up to the present on its path to European integration and of the close relations that the state of Kosovo has established with the state of Germany.

At this meeting was present also the State Secretary Oliver Krischer, with whom Minister Rizvanolli discussed the energy sector and the excellent cooperation between the two countries, as well as Germany’s contribution on increasing energy efficiency in the Republic of Kosovo. This meeting also involved discussions on the possibilities of further development of this sector.

While in the meeting that Minister Rizvanolli had with Costas Skrekas, the Greek Minister of the Environment and Energy, they discussed the possibility of cooperation in improving energy security as well as the achievement of a cleaner and greener energy mix.
