Minister Pula visited women of Krusha occasion of Fiter Bayram

Prishtina, September 22, 2009 – On the occasion of the Fiter Bayram holiday, Minister of Energy and Mining, Justina Shiroka – Pula, accompanied by the Prime Minister’s spouse, Lumnije Thaçi, and Gender Equality Official in MEM, Fahrije Qorri – Kaloshi, visited women of Krusha e Madhe, and presented them some modest gifts.

Minister said that they have chosen the third day of the Holiday to visit this village, which has suffered greatly from the war, to show that these women have not been forgotten by Kosovo’s institutions. “Women of Krusha are family heads and their dedication is exemplary for Kosovo women. We will strive, with all our efforts, to be with you and by you, and to provide any assistance, as modest as it may be”, said Minister Pula.

She also promised that MEM will do anything they can to freeze old electricity debts until a further decision, in order for them to afford their current electricity expenditures.   Prime Minister’s spouse, on the other hand, Lumije Thaçi, said that there aren’t enough words to say about Krusha e Madhe, and that everyone has to try to make their lives easier.

Mrs. Thaçi promised that she will personally make efforts to help women from Krusha e Madhe, taking into consideration the losses they suffered. Activists and women of Krusha e Madhe thanked Minister Pula and Mrs. Thaçi for their visit for the holiday, and making them feel that they have not been forgotten. Today’s visit of Minister Pula in Krusha is the second visit this year. The first visit was made on March 8, where gifts were also given.
