Minister Pula inaugurates solar panels in Internal Clinic
PRISTINA, 27 january 2010 – The Minister of Energy and Mining, Justina Shiroka-Pula, accompanied by Health Minister, Alush Gashi, Director of University Clinical Center of Kosova, Ali Sadriu, have inaugurated today the installation of solar panels located in the Internal Clinic’s of KUCC.
Minister Pula said on this occasion that this investment made by the Ministry of Energy and Mines (MEM) will affect the growth of efficiency and will improve the conditions of patients and the staff of clinic.
“This project is part of the MEM project to promote solar energy that has so far been implemented in several clinics KUCC and student dormitory, while will continue further on in such centers,” said the minister.
Minister Pula has indicated that Kosovo, as part of the Energy Community Treaty is obliged to fulfill obligations arising from this mechanism and renewable sources projects go in line to meet the requirements of the ECT and the European Union .
Minister of Energy has stated that the project includes the deployment of 28 solar panels with 150 square meters, with capacity to heat water for the needs of about 400 persons, while the value of the project is 145 thousand Euros.
On his part, Health Minister, Alush Gashi, has praised the investment made by the Ministry of Energy and Mining, stressing that this will affect in the working conditions of KUCC and thanked Minister Pula that within this project has given priority to health centers.
Alternatively, the Minister Gashi announced that the project of heating the water through solar panels is expected to include all health centers and where budget constraints do not allow the MEM to complete this project, MH will bet that it will continue investments in this field.
Meanwhile, the director of the University Clinical Center, Ali Sadria appreciated the Ministry of Energy and Mining for investment made in this clinic, considering this a contribution for better services to patients.
