Minister Lluka inaugurated the Chamber of Commerce Kosovo – Switzerland

Prishtina, 16.05.2019 – Minister of Economic Development, Valdrin Lluka, is staying in Switzerland, and along with the Minister of Economy of Switzerland, Guy Parmelin, Deputy Prime Minister, Enver Hoxhaj, and Deputy Minister, Rejhan Vuniqi, inaugurated the Chamber of Commerce Kosovo – Switzerland.

The main objective of Chamber of Commerce Kosovo – Switzerland is to bring Swiss investors to Kosovo and vice versa, by closely cooperating with diaspora.

During his speech in this inauguration event, Minister Lluka thanked the participants for the initiative and expressed the readiness for cooperation, pointing out advantages of Kosovo compared to other European countries.

He sought from diaspora to orient their investments from real estate to the production and services, as the latter have long-term positive effects in the economy of the country, taking as an example the investment made in Gjilan by the businessman Fehmi Fetahu in the project Vali Ranch Resort & Congress Centre, which has tens of employees.

Minister Lluka also pointed out that Switzerland is among 3 main countries that have invested in Kosovo with both donations and direct investments. This reflects excellent relations between both countries and such initiatives will further strengthen these relations.

Minister, Valdrin Lluka, held separate meetings with participants of this event. Swiss delegations will soon visit Kosovo to see closely the potentials of Kosovo.
